History
The OU Club of Texoma was founded by the following individuals in December 2001: Melvin Brown, Bob Bratcher, Jerdy Gary, Melinda Green, Barbara Hayes, Dr.Darius Maggi and Richard Thomas. The club officers were Richard Thomas as President and Barbara Hayes as Secretary.
The original idea was to form a club for social gatherings for alumni and friends of the University of Oklahoma and to promote its presence in the area. Eventually the OU Club of Texoma set forth a purpose of providing scholarships for area students attending the University of Oklahoma.
